August photo challenge | Day fifteen - B is for...

We bought this adorable little baby vest for Arabella that says 'Queen Bee', has a frilly tutu, wings on the back and a matching hat. What more can you want in terms of cute little outfits for a 8 week old!?

For anyone that has little ones, M&Co are having such a good sale on at the minute. I've bought quite a few things for there, especially for our holiday to Malta in October, so now it's just a case of waiting for her to grow into them all, as she's still so small!

August photo challenge | Day fourteen - Dreaming

Currently dreaming of the beautiful country that is Malta, in which just 9 weeks we will have the pleasure of travelling to for a week. It's been nearly two years since I've been, and I'm so excited to finally be going back. Although we're going with my mam and stepdad, it'll also be not just mine and Dan's first holiday together, but our first holiday as a family.

The book I'm currently reading and loving is, surprise surprise, a baby book.

Holly Willoughby's book Truly Happy Baby is a book I heard about when watching one of Rhiannon Ashlee's videos only a couple of days after having Arabella, so I decided to order it and have a flick through when I got time, and straight away I loved it.

August photo challenge | Day eleven - Throwback

As Dan & I celebrated our two year anniversary this week, I thought it was only suited that I post a throwback of us two years ago. I apologise for the quality, but this is the one I posted on Instagram and I can't find the original.

Before Dan and I got together, I'd known him for roughly a year, but we'd never really spoke until I started a new job in a new pub where he spent most weekends, and as he was good friends already with all of the staff, we got to know each other and became close instantly.

I still remember the first time we started speaking on Facebook Messenger, talking about tattoos and Ed Sheeran, and didn't have a clue that two years down the line we'd end up living together with a baby, it's crazy how quick the time has gone.

The past two years have been amazing, and I can't wait for the rest.

P.S. Sorry for the lack of posts, we've had a poorly newborn the past couple of days and just haven't found the time to blog, but I'm going to try my hardest!

August photo challenge | Day five - A is for...

When Arabella was 3 weeks old we decided to get a newborn photoshoot done, as I had the idea of getting professional photos done for every key stage throughout her first year, and the first was her newborn photos. I'm so pleased with how they turned out and I just wanted to share a few of them with you all!

She was absolutely brilliant when getting them done, she just followed the camera around the room. I think she's definitely a natural, and a little poser just like her mam!

Meet our little girl | Birth story

If you follow me on social media (I'll leave links below) you'll have already seen my announcement. But for those who don't, I'd like to officially introduce you to our daughter. Arabella Rae was delivered into the world Thursday 9th June at 2.35pm weighing 7lb 10.50z.

Since becoming pregnant I became obsessed with watching pregnancy videos on YouTube, and some of my favourite to watch were birth story videos. So I decided I'd like to do a blog post about my birth story, not just for you lot but so I can look back on it myself, a bit like a diary entry. I'll just add this little warning now - as it's a birth story, I can't guarantee what is and isn't going to be too much information. And this may be a bit of a lengthy post, so I'll apologise in advance.

August photo challenge | Day two - Polka dot

Now I know all I seem to have done is posted about Arabella, but when I seen that day two of the photo challenge was polka dot, I couldn't resist but to post this picture of her little dotty outfit!

We live in the North East of England, so we never really get nice weather except for last week. It was absolutely beautiful weather, with the temperature even getting as high as 31 degrees. As Arabella is still only a little baby, she's struggling to grow into her clothes. But now she's getting bigger, she finally grew into this gorgeous little dress, and I couldn't resist dressing her up and taking her to the park for a picnic with my mam. She absolutely loved it, lying in the shade of course!

Hello old and new readers, and welcome to my new blog!

If you've followed me for a while, you'll know that my blog used to be Lipsticks & Collars, but after some thinking I decided it was time for a total blog make over, name included. I decided on the name Bee-you-tee, as it's a quirky play on the word 'beauty'. As I do more beauty posts than anything else, and will probably continue to do so, I thought it was rather fitting. Also I'm starting a beauty course in September, so the name relates.

Where have I been?

Good evening dolls,

As you can probably tell, it's been a while since I last blogged. I blame technology, as my keyboard on my laptop doesn't work, and I wasn't able to blog from my iPad. But finally, I'm back with my trusty wireless keyboard, ready to start blogging again, and thought I'd start with a bit of a catch up.

Big Announcement!

Good evening dolls,

I know it's been a while, but it's literally been a crazy couple of weeks. In between my laptop breaking, being ill and moving house, I feel like I haven't had a minute to myself! Luckily we got settled into our new house pretty quick, and my laptop is kind of fixed, just a few of the keys are broke, so it takes a little bit longer to type anything now! But never mind, I'm just glad I can use my laptop all together, with a little help from an on screen keyboard of course.

Diary Entry - A Day in Durham & Grandslam Madness

Hey dolls,

I'm on a bit of a blogging streak at the moment, two posts in a week is actually a big achievement for me!

Yesterday, Dan and I spent the day in Durham. I got us tickets to go and see Madness in Durham so we decided to go early and spend the day there. Even though it's just down the road from me, I've only been once and that was a shopping trip, but this time we decided to do the river walk up to the cathedral to take some nice photos.

Pinterest Inspiration - Home & Decor

Hi Dolls,

So the last time I blogged I posted about my boyfriend Dan and I getting our own house, but at the time we were just looking for properties. Since then, we've found a place and moved in! As soon as we viewed it I fell in love, of course it needed a lick of paint and some TLC but we went for it and have been happily moved in for a month now. We've still got some decorating and unpacking to do, so I don't want to do a house tour post just yet, although I will when it's done.

I still wanted to blog something house related, so I decided to do a post about my inspiration for home and decor. I've been addicted to Pinterest lately (even if I have no followers and am not following anyone because, truth be told, I'm not entirely sure how to use it!) and absolutely love some of the pictures that are on there, and wanted to share.

I might make this into a regular thing, maybe like a Pinspiration (Pinterest & inspiration, get it!?) series of all different things!
